About this eBook

An FBI agent goes undercover with a sexy ex-Navy SEAL to bust a corrupt casino in this romantic suspense thriller by the author of Final Siege.

Are they in too deep?

Ex-Navy SEAL Cabe Moss always comes when called to duty—at all costs. Even though the death of his fiancée nearly destroyed him, Cabe won’t let his past interfere with any work that has to get done. When his latest task pushes him to team up with FBI operative Amy Murray, a fierce beauty with the undercover skills to match, Cabe must admit that, for the first time in years, he wants to do more than just complete their mission together . . .

Amy was born ready for this assignment, but working side-by-side with the strong, silent, and frustratingly professional Cabe seems to be the biggest challenge of all. But when the sparks begin to fly—and the stakes rise to dangerous heights—the only thing Amy is left worrying about is how she can resist him. Their lives may be in danger, but their hearts hold the biggest risk of all . . .

***4 Stars*** I must say that if this is the last book in the series, that I’m at a 50/50 split on really liking how everything was wrapped up to being a little sad because there are a few secondary characters that I’d really like to know more about. But in the end, this was a fun and easy read for me that, had life allowed, I would have finished quite quickly, but since that wasn’t an option I will say that when I could steal a few moments to myself, I thoroughly enjoyed it until the very last page. I loved Cabe. Honest, loyal and sweet but he’s constructed titanium walls around his heart. I empathized with him, I did, because that kind of loss is something that one never gets over, but I also wanted to reach out and tear those walls down because he was such a good guy that he deserved to give himself a second chance to find love. Amy was pretty damn amazing. Sassy, snarky, determined and highly intelligent. I mean this woman was a force. And then you add in her background ~ the good, the heartbreaking and the unique ~ little facts that make her who she is and she’s kind of everything wrapped up in a nice little package. For all of the issues Amy and Cabe had to deal with, both personal and professional, I really liked how everything played out with their relationship. There were the ups and downs and a couple of bad choices tossed into the mix, but it was the fact that they actually communicated like mature adults through most of it that had me rooting for them. They were honest, or at least as honest as they could be depending on where they were at in their heads, and it made everything work for me. The smexy was definitely smexy, I loved their bantering and how much they simply respected the other on every level and where they ended up at the end of the book was perfect for them. I’m still crossing my toes that this isn’t the last time we’ll hear about these characters, because there are definitely a few that I’d love to know more about, Harley, Lite and Buddha to be exact, but if this is a true farewell then I have to say it was done very well. We got to spend time with everyone and there was a nice little secondary storyline woven into the mix that definitely balanced the tension out with humor and heart and helped to tie up things quite nicely for all of these characters. ~ Copy provided by the publisher via NetGalley & voluntarily reviewed ~

Cabe Moss is an ex – Navy SEAL that never lets his past interfere with work but when he’s pushed to team up FBI agent Amy Murray he wants to do more than complete their mission together. Born ready for this assignment, Amy finds working with the frustratingly professional Cabe to be the biggest challenge of all. Thrilling and fast paced, the third book in the Love Over Duty series keeps readers glued to the pages with lots of suspense and romance. Cabe and his team are ready to bring down their enemies any way possible even if that means working with a whole host of alphabet agencies in order to get the bad guys and this mission has Cabe and Amy both working to overcome their emotional issues while doing so. In regards to the mission, anticipation builds as their undercover personas get closer to the endgame and a few twists and turns adds adrenaline pumping action to the mix, especially as the good guys have multiple objectives. Cabe and Amy are strong, compelling characters that easily draw readers in and hold their attention while the sizzling chemistry heats up the pages and burns hot enough that this couple can’t fight their attraction no matter the professional and emotional obstacles that get in the way. I was completely caught up in the excitement of this mission as much as I was caught up in Cabe and Amy’s combustible romance as both had so much potential to blow up in their faces as they put their lives and their hearts at risk.

4 Stars Review by Sue Late Night Reviewer Up All Night w/ Books Blog Deep Cover by Scarlett Cole is a slow, sweet burn of a book. It is an engaging story told in dual POV. Cabe Moss, former SEAL is on a mission to bring down a Russian syndicate. Amy Murray, FBI, goes undercover as a casino dealer to expose a human trafficking ring. The sparks fly when they meet in a bar. But, Amy is somewhat slighted after Cabe takes off without notice. The next day, they realize they are both part of a joint task force and must work together. Will they risk everything they are working towards to be together? Cabe was a phenomenal character. He felt real. His kindness, loyalty, sexuality and take-charge attitude just did it for me. One of the sexiest alpha males written. Amy is strong and independent. She simply wants to prove herself and she does that without a doubt. She has a brilliant mind for counting cards and for remembering things. I loved getting an inside look into the casino world and how it works. It was very interesting for me. This is the third book in a series and although it can be read as a standalone, I believe reading them in order is the way to go. The relationships and the story itself seems like it evolves through all three books. This was an overall good read with an intriguing story line. Recommended to those who like their men HOT and the slow burn of a passionate relationship unfolding.
