4 Stars Review by Sue Late Night Reviewer Up All Night w/ Books Blog Deep Cover by Scarlett Cole is a slow, sweet burn of a book. It is an engaging story told in dual POV. Cabe Moss, former SEAL is on a mission to bring down a Russian syndicate. Amy Murray, FBI, goes undercover as a casino dealer to expose a human trafficking ring. The sparks fly when they meet in a bar. But, Amy is somewhat slighted after Cabe takes off without notice. The next day, they realize they are both part of a joint task force and must work together. Will they risk everything they are working towards to be together? Cabe was a phenomenal character. He felt real. His kindness, loyalty, sexuality and take-charge attitude just did it for me. One of the sexiest alpha males written. Amy is strong and independent. She simply wants to prove herself and she does that without a doubt. She has a brilliant mind for counting cards and for remembering things. I loved getting an inside look into the casino world and how it works. It was very interesting for me. This is the third book in a series and although it can be read as a standalone, I believe reading them in order is the way to go. The relationships and the story itself seems like it evolves through all three books. This was an overall good read with an intriguing story line. Recommended to those who like their men HOT and the slow burn of a passionate relationship unfolding.

***4 Stars*** I must say that if this is the last book in the series, that I’m at a 50/50 split on really liking how everything was wrapped up to being a little sad because there are a few secondary characters that I’d really like to know more about. But in the end, this was a fun and easy read for me that, had life allowed, I would have finished quite quickly, but since that wasn’t an option I will say that when I could steal a few moments to myself, I thoroughly enjoyed it until the very last page. I loved Cabe. Honest, loyal and sweet but he’s constructed titanium walls around his heart. I empathized with him, I did, because that kind of loss is something that one never gets over, but I also wanted to reach out and tear those walls down because he was such a good guy that he deserved to give himself a second chance to find love. Amy was pretty damn amazing. Sassy, snarky, determined and highly intelligent. I mean this woman was a force. And then you add in her background ~ the good, the heartbreaking and the unique ~ little facts that make her who she is and she’s kind of everything wrapped up in a nice little package. For all of the issues Amy and Cabe had to deal with, both personal and professional, I really liked how everything played out with their relationship. There were the ups and downs and a couple of bad choices tossed into the mix, but it was the fact that they actually communicated like mature adults through most of it that had me rooting for them. They were honest, or at least as honest as they could be depending on where they were at in their heads, and it made everything work for me. The smexy was definitely smexy, I loved their bantering and how much they simply respected the other on every level and where they ended up at the end of the book was perfect for them. I’m still crossing my toes that this isn’t the last time we’ll hear about these characters, because there are definitely a few that I’d love to know more about, Harley, Lite and Buddha to be exact, but if this is a true farewell then I have to say it was done very well. We got to spend time with everyone and there was a nice little secondary storyline woven into the mix that definitely balanced the tension out with humor and heart and helped to tie up things quite nicely for all of these characters. ~ Copy provided by the publisher via NetGalley & voluntarily reviewed ~

First off I need to say I haven't read the other books in the series so while I didn't know the entire story I was able to pick it up and not feel too lost. I love the two main characters Cade and Amy. He is every girls dream of course and full of yummy alpha male hotness and getting pass the loss of his fiance. Amy is reeling from fall out from a sexual harassment from her previous manager and out to prove she has earned her place in the FBI. I love that she is more than competent for the job and has tons to offer. The case is personal for them for various reasons and drives their success. Loads of action and intrigue make this a great read. The characters are carryover from the previous books in the series and storyline. There is enough here to get the idea of what happened in the previous books but still feel they need to be read to fully enjoy.
