Sobre este e-book

To whom will Ursula Tilghman sell Dames Hundred land as she seeks to finance a memorial to her husband? Will it be millionaire developer John Alexander Bassett, hungry to extend his power over St. Martins on Marylands Eastern Shore. Or will it be her stepson Stephen who wants to build a multi-racial new town on Tilghman land beside the Rehobeth River? The contenders vie for Ursulas favor, new and powerful interests join the struggle, warnings appear in the form of slaughtered animals, and murder strikes. Accountant Daniel Pryor and his lover Eurydice Smith join with State Trooper Celine Litowska, ensnared by her own secrets, in a quest for the killer, but not before death strikes again at Dames Hundred.

Sobre o autor

Florence Pritchard brings experience as a college administrator, professor and blue-water sailor to her St. Martins mystery series. She has published a test-taking program and a college textbook on service learning recognized as definitive in the field. Her novels take place on Maryland’s Eastern Shore in the college town of St. Martins, and explore her characters lives against a backdrop of cultural convention and unconscious prejudice. Death’s Dark Angel, first in this series, was published with iUniverse in 2005. The second, Death at Dames Hundred, is due out in early 2009, and the third, Zahira’s Jihad, in early 2010.

Ms. Pritchard graduated from William and Mary, and earned graduate degrees from John Hopkins and the University of Maryland. She and her husband have sailed their 32 foot ketch to Bermuda and back, and cruised their 34 foot trawler from Maine to Florida. They live on the Florida Gulf Coast where she administers “Lending Hands,” a neighbor support program she created, writes plays for community theater and supports dog parks as recreational opportunities for people and their pets.
