Wow, what a roller coaster of a story, this is the second book in the Clare Woodbrook series and although it is a standalone and the author has cleverly incorporated the basics of the first book into this story, I would sincerely suggest that more enjoyment will be gained if the books are read in sequence. Clare Woodbrook, a brilliant former London journalist had committed a crime, which she now regrets, and shot her partner in self defence, she staged her own death in a plane crash but some British detectives were not convinced that she was dead. Clare was now working in Germany after being recruited to work for an undercover team known as the Snow Angels. To help an old police friend in London Clare was to put her life in danger, her mission was to solve a ten year murder case that a dying man had confessed to........but he hadn't done it. This story moves at a fast pace and it is action packed. Who is supporting Clare in her quest and who will betray her, where does the police corruption begin and end, the suspense is nail biting and I couldn't put it down. I can highly recommend this book I received a free copy of this book and I voluntarily leave my review.
