It is 429 AD and the Roman Empire is falling apart. Now he must decide what kind of man he is: pagan or Christian; Roman or British; general or bishop; emperor or pope. How he decides will not only seal his fate, but also that of an entire continent. In this exciting saga, a Roman general is led on an incredible journey through battles and human sacrifice to a personal choice with the power to transform history.
About the author
David Baker has five degrees (including a PhD), five fellowships, and a professorship to his credit. Now retired from a lengthy career in higher education, he is a consultant, lecturer, teacher, writer, reviewer, editor, musician, musicologist, and author of several books, papers, and two academic book series. When he is not writing, David enjoys building model railways and spending time with his grandchildren.
