5/5 Stars This dark sinful Student-Teacher romance hooked me up from the very first chapter and I was eager to see how the love story proceeds. This is a forbidden tale of romance between 17-year-old student Ivory and her 27-year-old teacher Emeric. Ivory suffered so much, yet her character was one of the strongest females I have ever read. She is a very gifted piano player, attending a prestigious arts high school where she doesn't fit in with her peers due to her socioeconomic status and her "reputation" with boys. She has her sights set on one of the best musical colleges that awards full scholarships to the best of the best. Ivory becomes involved with her new teacher, Emeric, who has a past and secrets of his own. He was forced to leave his last school and rumors have it that is was because of a sex scandal. Emeric is hot, the wet dream of the girls and Ivory thinks he is shockingly pretty. I loved the depth of the emotions that the Ivory and Emeric felt for each other, especially Emeric's really insta-feelings for her. I loved the way he loved and took care of Ivory. Oh yeah, there was sexual chemistry all over the place. They couldn't get enough of each other and dang was it hot! These two fit so seamlessly together it's no wonder they set these pages on fire. The love scenes were so much more than just hot and steamy they were filled with pure raw emotion. I felt every moment of this book. Dark Notes was an enticing, highly erotic and angst read that I would highly recommend for lovers of teacher/student taboo stories. Another great read by this author. I'm looking forward to seeing what else she has in store for us.
