I adore the Dare to Love series by Carly Phillips. Seriously don't want to do anything but read from the moment the book hits my kindle until I finish the last page every single time. Dare to Seduce was no different. I've wanted Lucy Dare to get her story since we first met her in Dare to Surrender. She was so feisty and fun-loving, I couldn't wait to read her story. Imagine my surprise when we see Lucy again in Dare to Seduce and she was almost subdued rather than the vivacious person in the earlier books. I totally got Lucy and loved watching her turn back into the real Lucy Dare once she was back in New York and Max was back in her life. I absolutely loved Max Savage from the moment we met him as well. I knew he was attracted to Lucy and totally understood his hesitancy based upon her brothers, not only being his best friends, but their protective nature when it came to Lucy. However, I knew Max and Lucy would be awesome together and I was so glad Max finally made his move. Max and Lucy have amazing chemistry and it only grew hotter as they spent more time together. I loved that Max totally understood Lucy's fear of losing people and got that was the reason she kept her distance from her family and picked men she couldn't love in the past. As Max had a few abandonment issues himself from childhood, he not only understood Lucy, but had experienced those same feelings. I loved that Max was willing to be patient and respectful with Lucy's issues, while still showing her how much he loved her. Add in the absolutely smoking hot sex between them, and Max and Lucy are one of my favorite couples in the series. Dare to Seduce is another winner in the Dare to Love series. While it can totally be read as a stand-alone story, I think readers will understand more of the family dynamics by reading Dare to Surrender and Dare to Submit first.

I just adore Carly Phillips' Dare series. Ian and Gabe have been my favorites. Well, I think Max Savage is giving them a run for their money! His name alone exudes sex! Max has longed for little Lucy Dare ever since she had come home from college. Unfortunately, Max figured Lucy's brothers, Gabe and Decklan would have a huge problem with him wanting to be with Lucy so he never pursued anything. Over the next few years, Lucy moved to California for work, while Max ended up marrying Cindy, who was killed in a car accident 4 years later. Neither of them were very happy. Now that Lucy is back in town for Decklan's wedding, Max finally gets her brother's blessing and he decides to make his move. He doesn't care if she brought some guy with her from California. I loved the way Max kept working on Lucy to convince her that he really had feelings for her and wasn't just looking for sex. I just adored how sweet and thoughtful he was, while at the same time being a typical cocky, alpha male! Their time on the island of Eden was wonderful and sexy...really sexy! ;) I enjoyed how they worked together to open up a new restaurant Savage in Soho (great name), and really enjoyed the character of Sabastian, the chef he hired. He was a hoot! Too bad he isn't a Dare...I bet he'd have a great story! Overall another great addition to the Dare series!

Awesomely seduced Lucy is the little sister of Gabe and Decklan Dare. Max is their best friend who has always been in love with Lucy but never wanted to ruin his friendship with the Dare brothers. When she shows up with a guy that no one likes, Max makes a play for her. Will it be too late, will he risk his friendship. Can they'd work through their pasts. Lucy and Max have great love, friendship, and chemistry. Carly Phillips has again makes you love her characters. She has again intertwined many of the Characters from her other books in this series into this book yet this is a standalone book.
