About this ebook

Amun Ra was the supreme god of the ancient Egypt. The priests of Amun had become as important as the Pharaoh himself! They enjoyed much power that was often misused. The people of that era, used to worship a pantheon of Gods. Akhenaten was a brave pharaoh to abolish polytheisms with immediate effect and prohibited his people to worship the huge number of gods and led them to worship only one god that was Aten - the Sun Disk. He tried his level best to curb the power of the uprising priests of Amun Ra. He did succeed up to certain extent. The story describes rise of that brave (often called 'heretic') pharaoh who created upheaval in the Egyptian religious traditions.
