The last book in this series not only brings news of Brodie's older brothers and sisters-in-law, but his own marriage to Lottie. He quickly discovers that Lottie is not a push-over and while the brothers had basically rescued the five women from serving further time in prison, they still demand to be treated with respect and Lottie in particular wants to be courted.

I liked these two characters they were very realistic. Lottie had been so hurt by her father and twist thrown in by the author was excellent. Brodie does not realize his worth so he ends in a bit of pickle because he was trying to change that. There are a couple of snakes lurking nearby and they end up causing a problem. It is a very good western showing casing just how brave those who lived during that time had to be.

About the author

Cynthia Woolf is the USA Today Bestselling and award-winning author of seventy-five novels consisting of sixty-five historical western romances, three contemporary romances, one contemporary romance novella and six sci-fi, space opera romances, which she calls westerns in space. Along with these books she has also published nine boxed sets of her books and two short stories.

Cynthia loves writing and reading romance. Her first western romance Tame A Wild Heart, was inspired by the story her mother told her of meeting Cynthia's father on a ranch in Creede, Colorado. Although Tame A Wild Heart takes place in Creede that is the only similarity between the stories. Her father was a cowboy, not a bounty hunter, and her mother was a nursemaid (called a nanny now), not the ranch owner.

Cynthia credits her wonderfully supportive husband Jim and her great critique partners for saving her sanity and allowing her to explore her creativity.
