關於這本電子書

Developing around 1907 under the influence of artists Braque and Picasso, cubism established a way of looking at the world, in opposition to Impressionist principles. Combinning Guillaume Apollibaire’s classics manifesto with a study by Dr. Dorothea Eimert, this book offers a interpreteation of this moment for modernity.

關於作者

An ardent admirer of Cézanne, the poet Guillaume Apollinaire was one of the first to support and defend the destructured art of Picasso. His essay The Cubist Painters constitutes the first reference text on Cubism.

For several years, Dr. Dorothea Eimert has directed the Leopold Hoesch Museum in Düren, Germany. After studying art history, musicology and archaeology, she specialised in art history of the 20th century. She has published diverse works treating Expressionism, Futurism, New Objectivity and Contemporary Art.
