About the author
Conrad Ferdinand Meyer (1825–1898) ist neben Gottfried Keller und Jeremias Gotthelf einer der bedeutendsten Schweizer Autoren des Realismus. Mit seiner historischen Novelle Das Amulett und seinem Roman Jörg Jenatsch wurde er bekannt.
Alexander Honold, geb. 1962, ist Professor für Germanistik an der Universität Basel.
