About this eBook

Piper Dawson has spent a lifetime living by other people’s rules.
She’s worked hard to get what she wants—a residency at her first choice hospital—and no one will ever tie her down again, not even her severe yet incredibly sexy supervisor, Dr. Alexander “Ace” Lennox.

Ace is done with love. He’s had his heart shattered, and he never wants to go there again. But when he’s inexplicably enticed by the sexy, tattooed woman with blue streaks in her hair and a perpetual smile on her lips, he figures that maybe he can keep it to just sex.

The problem? He thrives on control, and Piper dances just around the edges of it.

But when they're together, control is the first thing to go...

Each book in the Pulse series is a standalone story that can be enjoyed out of order.

Just an ok read for me. Definitely hot with sexy times galore but I thought it was a bit light on the story. The entire relationship between Ace and Piper is based on the physical aspects. I know the whole thing started as sex only but I didn't see the flip in emotions anywhere in the story so he left me thinking ....hmmm, when did that happen? It is a light sexy read though so if that's what your looking for this one will work.

I really enjoyed this book, it's a new take on the traditional opposites attracting tale. The characters were interesting and Piper was quirky and endearing. When emergency medicine resident Piper begins a physical relationship with her supervisor, Ace, the only things either of them can foresee are problems. Piper is especially worried about losing the career she has worked so hard to build. Add in the jerk ex-boyfriend stiffing up trouble and you have an entertaining book. I gave this four stars instead of five because I wish we knew more about Ace's background - all we have are a few brief facts about him. I felt that Piper was a much more developed character. Additionally, the novel was heavier on sex than story and I would have really enjoyed more depth to the story. This is an enjoyable novel that fans of the genre will want to read.

These two were perfect for each other! Relationship-phobic, career-focused, and unable to stay away from the other once the seal was broken <3 It was only moments before their fake relationship took off, dragging them along and taking them straight to their HEA
