Eusebius's 'Church History' provides a chronological account of the development of Early Christianity, its spread, and the persecutions it faced, along with biographies of key figures and a wealth of other information. His methodology combined the careful use of documents and an allegorical interpretation of the Bible, marking a significant contribution both to historiography and hermeneutics. His other works cover apologetic writing, such as the 'Preparation for the Gospel' and 'Proof of the Gospel,' offering a defense of Christianity against its critics.
