I absolutely loved how Sabella and Angelo met since it’s not what I was anticipating! Angelo made no apology for who he is, & I relished that. “Sabella [was] straightforward and uncomplicated” until a certain point in the book, and I did feel for her. She “gave him my love and my hate,” and through it all I could feel their passion! The ending was not what I was expecting, and I can’t wait to read what happens next!

This is the first book in a new series and as usual this author brought forth the goods. Genre wise it’s a romance set in the organised crime world in her usual stomping ground of South Africa and this first instalment managed to draw me in and invest me in what’s to come. We leave this on a shocking cliffhanger which is definitely going to have some repercussions and I’m excited to see where we go from here. This was well written and an easy read be aware this is dark romance and has triggers.
