I really love how to-the-point this book is. for under $2 dollars, this book is seriously undervalued. It's exactly as it claims - a quick start guide. It's not a 200 page book, but that makes it easy for to go back and quickly find the terms I'm missing. A lot of hypnosis books I've read usually have a lot of fluff and banter to make the book seem bigger than it is. If there are any criticisms I have, it's probably that I wish there were maybe some drawings or something to even out the text. But for the price, this is amazing and all of this has worked for me so far.

Hypnosis is often misunderstood and even I've been guilty, in the past, of characterizing it as something less scientifically-based and more suited for entertainment purposes. Not so. At least, not so for me since I've educated myself a great deal about the way it works. In "How to Hypnotize People Easily and Effectively" you learn the science behind the technique. How our brains work in two ways and how those ways pass and deflect information. It's an intriguing text, and one that isn't just for people wanting to learn hypnotism. There's an overview on the cycle of sleep and how the two parts of the brain (ego and ID) pass the reins during the process. And there's an even better section that explains how we all practice self-hypnosis, and probably some more than others, without even realizing it.

Like this book, easy to understand and makes you think. A book to read then go over again because the facts are interesting. It is not just about hypnotherapy, but understanding how our brain works and how easily we can be manipulated. I would recommend for anyone interested in this subject.
