Azrael is tired, but refues to have another relationship. Deirdre is a vampire who is only looking for hookups. Both have a past that huants them. What will happen when Azrael is setup to meet his friends at a bar? What will happen when Deirdre sees him? Follow their mishaps and see what happens. I received an ARC and I’m voluntary leaving my honest review. You can’t go wrong with a Carrie Pulkinen book. Seriously, everything she writes it amazing. I loved Azrael and Deirde. (I love a grumpy hero.) The story had an excellent plot and was well written. I felt like I was right there in the action. I enjoyed watching them work their way to their HEA. It has a great cast of secondary characters. I stayed up way past bedtime, because I couldn’t put it down.

Azrael usually enjoys counseling newly reaped souls but ever since he lost Nora he has been falling into depression. Then he met the vampire Deirdre at a speed dating session he was set up for. This story has action, romance, and steam, ending in a HEA. Very highly recommended. I received a copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
