Particularly good for a small short advert. Our FMC is presented well and is interesting, even when a bit confused. (The MMC probably exists, but has no character development.) I was looking forward to interesting events and was not immediately disappointed. The most disappointing part of the reading experience was the abrupt "end" of the "story" and the fact that continuing the story would require a number of additional volumes. There was no denouement at all, just a screeching halt. Its like the author thought "Okay, a male climaxed; wrap this puppy up fast! Publish it NOW!" I am not a fan of cliffhangers, much preferring happy-for-all-for-nows between volumes. I couldn't find any character with an HFN, let alone a HFAFN. I'll search for other works of Caelia's and probably buy them if they are available in a single volume at a reduced cost. Unless you're looking for a longer read, I recommend this short short story/teaser advert as a quick distraction.
