The profound insight of the author helps us understand the lives of these seemingly trivial personalities. To explore their lives he uses but a few episodes. It is his intense language that makes us look beyond the words. His light strokes help us to reveal the depth of sorrow, pain and struggle in the process of living. As also, some powerful strokes explore the cunningness and shrewdness along with the insincere fraudulence; a resultant product of tough living conditions.
