Another engrossing, gripping story that was heart warming but at times gut wrenching especially when Robert talks of his past. The characters are so very well portrayed. The story is lovely of two people falling in love each has their reservations but gradually they learn to trust & to live. Robert & Brooke have appeared in early books in the series & I loved that they had their story. I’m now eagerly waiting for the two black sheep to have their story. I love the author’s books & they never disappoint whether it’s historical or contemporary they are absorbing reads.
