About the author

* Brian Michael Jenkins (M.A., History, University of California, Los Angeles) is one of the world's leading authorities on terrorism and sophisticated crime. He works with government agencies, international organizations, and multinational corporations as an analyst, investigator, and crisis management consultant. Mr. Jenkins was the Deputy Chairman of Kroll Associates, an international investigative and consulting firm. He previously served as the Chairman of RAND's Political Science Department, where he also directed RAND's groundbreaking research on political violence. He is currently Senior Advisor to the President of RAND. Mr. Jenkins is the author of International Terrorism: A New Mode of Conflict, as well as editor, co-author, or contributor to numerous publications on conflict and crime.
