About this ebook

An updated look and a new format gives a fresh life to this long-time favorite of Beverly Jenkins’s fans, out in time for Black History Month.

A Perilous Pursuit

Kate Love is an ambitious reporter on the trail of a swindler who has been preying on elderly blacks. But when her investigation leads her into danger, she is snatched by Dix Wildhorse, a Black Seminole Marshal from Oklahoman’s Indian country. Kate has no choice but to flee with the daring knight her father sent to rescue her. Despite the warm simmering fire Dix’s bronzed, muscled embrace ignites, she is determined to hold on to her independence, challenging him at every turn. Yet even as their battle of wills intensifies, the heat of their passion blazes with unmatched fury...a wildfire of love that can only be answered in the sweet ecstasy of surrender.

Exciting historical western romance with unforgettable characters! Topaz is a novel with an action filled plot, complete with laughter, tears, and love scenes that have steam rising from the pages. Dixon Wildhorse is one of my favorite fictional hero crushes and his love for Katherine is to be envied and admired. This book is another sterling example of the extraordinary storytelling talent of Beverly Jenkins.

Awesome book i loved it from the beginning to the end. I loved the way you tied in there long trip back to the territory and all that informative history was A+. It broke my heart to all the injustice, thanks B.J without you i would never have known such history. Please keep writing, is there a story brewing on Hannah?. God bless you and your beautiful mind.

A gem of a novel well worth it's title... dazzeling almost like a diamond, but with a big western ray of sunshine at it's heart. You write with glory Beverley Jenkins! :)
