When I came to USA 6 years ago, I experienced certain level of racism and bullying, I strugled with forgiveness but then I saw my own sin and thankfully God intervened. Now that I know some of the atrocities suffered by blacks, I see that my situation is almost non relevant!. Love that instead of being a self pity book, Watson has a forgiving spirit and a willing heart to reconcile and be accountable to God (instead of blamming others) the best part is that he has a new heart in Christ and he knows whom he belongs, Watson is making a difference in his life and family, a dinasty of godly african americans, insteaf of sitting down just counting the wrongs. I liked the point of "intentional friendship", I think is very necessary and is worth the effort. You cant forgive if you havent been forgiven. Personally, this book brings new light about race history in this country, God bless your soul and family.

I had the date marked on calender for a while in anticipation of this book. It did not disappoint. Ben takes us to a place in our hearts that we all need to look and understand. His thoughts on race issues today are eye opening. Only through a change of heart will we ever become a unified human race again. Thanks Ben for the words you wrote.

I want every person in this country to read this book! I will be buying copies to give away. I am a 52yo white woman who has lived in Mississippi since before I turned 2. There have been many situations throughout my life and the life of my children that have opened my eyes to the problem of racism. This book has given me an even deeper compassion for, and understanding the plight, of a black person living in the U.S. It has also made me aware of my sin and where I have failed miserably concerning these issues when I didn't think it was a problem I had. Thank you so very much Benjamin Watson for writing Under Our Skin.
