Batman: Year One

Really enjoy this comic. While I don't love the comic art, the colors for the book are incredible. I really like the story of how Batman and Liutenant Gordon began. Surprisingly, I found myself to enjoy the James Gordon plot more than Batman's (not to say either is bad, both are excellent in their own right). I love how they portray Gotham as this broken city that can't be possibly fixed. Seems like a lot of modern Batman media forget to portray Gotham like that. Overall, it's a great read!

How to do an origin story. One of the classic batman stories, Frank miller does a great job here. In my opinion the great artwork from David M just makes it even better. One of the first comics I bought way back and have re-read countless times since. Like Daredevil born again by the same creators it's highly recommended.

Awesome book, expertly written and there's nothing to say about David Mazzucchelli, it's beautiful, visceral, raw, full of energy. Get this book, you won't regret it!
