This interaction includes all atomic, electrical, magnetic, and electromagnetic phenomena as well as light and light fields. As a result, electromagnetism serves as the foundation for a wide range of scientific disciplines, such as solid-state physics, optics, chemistry, and molecular biology. Electrically charged particles, particles with an intrinsic magnetic moment, and the electromagnetic field interact to produce all electromagnetic effects.
