Sheree, or Ree Ree as she is known to her family and friends, has the odds stacked against her. BABY GIRL is written as three letters. The first is Ree Ree's description of what has gone wrong in her life, and her attempts to stay connected with her mother and reconnect with her father. The second letter is her mother's view of raising Ree Ree and dealing with a daughter who repeats the mistakes of the mother. Finally, the last letter is Ree Ree facing her son and the consequences of her own decisions. Lenora Adams uses the language of the streets to create a realistic drama about an attempt to break free of the past and build a better future. But as the quote on the cover asks, "What happens when life isn't what you expected?"

I read this book in 2 days. It is so good but kinda confusing at times but still good. If you had a hard life you could relate to this. I did. She has so much struggles and bad things that happened to her but she overcomed it. She ended up leaving that dumb a** boyfriend that really didn't love her. But which girl hasnt try everthing and anything just to keep a man? But i really would have liked if she ended with the good guy.

Baby girl was a great book.... It dosen't really suit young adults but it tells a story about one. It was warming and cold at the same time. i ♥ it it was ☺ and ☻ at the same time....
