BACK PORCH NEIGHBORS

Tanya Hilson, is a Chicago native, and community activist. Her motivation to help others led her to create the nonprofit, WELIVEON2: Where All Lives Matter, an organization that teaches Technology and Performing Arts to low-income children and families. Tanya also assists citizens who have criminal backgrounds in creating resumes and securing employment with companies who are sensitive to the plight and potential of the previously incarcerated population. 

Through her writing, Tanya hopes to reach out to those who can’t see their own bright futures because of the present storms of life. If her audience feels relaxed, entertained, and connected to her characters, she’s done her job.
