About the author

ARNOLD WESKER is one of the UK's most well known playwrights and writers having penned 42 plays and numerous volumes of short stories, essays, poetry and journalism. His plays have been translated into 17 languages, and are performed worldwide. When he exploded onto the British theatrical scene in the 1950's he was dubbed one of the 'angry, young men' of British theatre and has gone on to become a truly British institution.
