Valri Western
I love it when the hero was a "bad boy" in high school - although this time, he really wasn't, just perceived that way because of his father! Jim Kennedy is one of those "dark, brooding heroes" that is a former war hero with plenty of things in his past to deal with. He comes back to his home town to deal with some of that when he meets up with Scarlett Easton who was always the "good girl". Scarlett, on the other hand, always liked Jim in high school but they didn't run in the same circles. Suddenly, things begin to happen to both of them that put them in life-threatening danger and they are thrown together to try to figure out what is happening. I really had a hard time putting this book down! There is a lot of action and suspense to keep you turning those pages. This series of books is a great one and I can't wait for the next book, which is the end, to wrap up all the questions. This one, however, answers several questions from previous books! I would definitely recommend it!
