Applications of Computational Intelligence in Multi-Disciplinary Research provides the readers with a comprehensive handbook for applying the powerful principles, concepts, and algorithms of computational intelligence to a wide spectrum of research cases. The book covers the main approaches used in computational intelligence, including fuzzy logic, neural networks, evolutionary computation, learning theory, and probabilistic methods, all of which can be collectively viewed as soft computing. Other key approaches included are swarm intelligence and artificial immune systems. Dr. Ahmed A. Elngar is currently an assistant professor at the Faculty of Computers and Artificial Intelligence, Beni-Suef University, Beni-Suef City, Egypt, and College of Computer Information Technology, American University in the Emirates, United Arab Emirates. Dr. Elngar is the director of Technological and Informatics Studies Center (TISC) and is the founder and head of Scientific Innovation Research Group (SIRG) at Beni-Suef University.

Dr. Rajdeep Chowdhury an eminent academician, author, award–winning bilingual poet and editor. His areas of research interest and specialization are Artificial Intelligence, Cryptography, Data Warehouse, Data Mining and Network Security. Dr. Chowdhury has authored and presented more than 70 research papers in international/national journals and conferences (ACM, IEEE, Springer, Scopus, Taylor & Francis, CRC Press, Thomson Reuters, Bloomsbury, Tata McGraw Hill), along with being Program Committee Member in 80 International Conferences and Advisory Board Member for numerous international conferences. Dr. Chowdhury was previously an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Applications, JIS College of Engineering, Kalyani, India.

Dr. Mohamed Elhoseny is an Associate Professor at the University of Sharjah, UAE. Dr. Elhoseny is an ACM Distinguished Speaker and IEEE Senior Member. His research interests include Smart Cities, Network Security, Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things, and Intelligent Systems. Dr. Elhoseny is the founder and the Editor-in-Chief of the IJSSTA journal published by IGI Global, as well as Associate Editor at several Q1 journals such as IEEE Access, Scientific Reports, IEEE Future Directions, Remote Sensing, International Journal of E-services and Mobile Applications and Human-centric Computing and Information Sciences. He has also served as the co-chair, publication chair, program chair, and a track chair for several international conferences published by recognized publishers. Dr. Elhoseny is Editor-in-Chief of two book series, on Sensor Communication for Urban Intelligence and Distributed Sensing and Intelligent Systems.

Valentina Emilia Balas is currently a Full Professor in the Department of Automatics and Applied Software at the Faculty of Engineering, “Aurel Vlaicu University of Arad, Romania. She holds a PhD cum Laude in Applied Electronics and Telecommunications from the Polytechnic University of Timisoara. Dr. Balas is the author of more than 350 research papers. She is the Editor-in-Chief of the 'International Journal of Advanced Intelligence Paradigms' and the 'International Journal of Computational Systems Engineering', an editorial board member for several other national and international publications, and an expert evaluator for national and international projects and PhD theses.
