This book provides a good overview of blockchain technology without the super preachy Pro-Cryptocurrency Hype bias that pervades other books I've looked at on the subject. It also looks at blockchain's uses and potentials beyond simply currency and shows its potential to improve various other facets of life: i.e. health records, voter fraud prevention, and supply chain quality control. I enjoyed it and while I wish there it had a slightly more in depth technical bent to it, I think that's a lot to ask from a general book like this and best left to researching white-papers about the various blockchain applications,

I bought this book to learn more about Cryptocurrencies and Blockchain and this book did not disappoint. It starts off by introducing Blockchain, its history, and the mechanisms behind it without going into too much technical depth. Next, all facets of Cryptocurrencies and Blockchain were examined in multiple case studies which provided an excellent overview of the evolution and use of these technologies. All in all, it was a very nice introduction to the topics and now I feel better equipped to discuss and understand these concepts with my colleagues.

This is an easy to read book that has lots of good information on various coins and blockchains; and the advantages and disadvantages to each of those items. The authors define all the key terms very well and give excellent analogy examples which aides in understanding the concepts. They also discuss mining and issues with crypto coins and blockchains that have occurred in the past. Definitely would recommend this book to anyone interested in understanding cryptocurrencies in greater detail.
