About the author

Anna Clark is a journalist in Detroit. Her writing has appeared in the Chicago Tribune, Detroit Free Press, the New York Times, Politico, the Columbia Journalism Review and other publications. She edited A Detroit Anthology, a 2015 Michigan Notable Book. Anna graduated from the University of Michigan and from Warren Wilson College's MFA Program for Writers. She grew up in St. Joseph, Michigan, a little town she loves.
