About the author
डॉ. आनंद प्रकाश माहेश्वरी ने श्रीराम कालेज ऑफ कामर्स से स्नातक की डिग्री के उपरांत पोद्दार इंस्टीट्यूट ऑफ मैनेजमेंट से एम.बी.ए. पूर्ण किया। पुलिस सेवा में आने के बाद सांप्रदायिक दंगों के प्रबंधन विषय पर अभिनव शोध करते हुए पी-एच.डी. की उपाधि प्राप्त की। अपने अनुभवों के आधार पर वे हिंदी तथा अंग्रेजी भाषाओं में रचनात्मक लेखन-कार्य करते रहे हैं। अभी तक उनकी आठ पुस्तकें तथा चालीस से अधिक लेख प्रकाशित हुए हैं। उन्हें ‘गोविंद बल्लभ पंत’ पुरस्कार भी मिला है। डॉ. माहेश्वरी 1984 बैच के भारतीय पुलिस सेवा के अनुभवी अधिकारी हैं। उत्तर प्रदेश के विभिन्न महानगरों में पुलिस प्रमुख के पदों पर कार्य करने के साथ-साथ उन्होंने कानून व्यवस्था, अभिसूचना, अन्वेषण, सतर्कता एवं सुरक्षा के क्षेत्रों में भी कार्य करके अपनी योग्यता प्रमाणित की है। अति विशिष्ट सेवाओं हेतु उन्हें राष्ट्रपति पदक, वीरता एवं कठिन सेवाओं हेतु पुलिस पदकों से अलंकृत किया गया है। समाज-सेवा के क्षेत्र में भी कई संगठनों से जुड़े हैं। संपर्क : [email protected] एनडब्ल्यू-118, स्वामी बाग, आगरा-5
