About this ebook

Fight. Survive. Repeat.

The rules of a soldier are simple.

Born into service of the Regime, Commander Sela Tyron is about as subtle as a hammer. To hammers, any problem can look like a nail, but things aren't always that easy.

When Sela is abandoned with her team on a planet full of insurrectionists, things get complicated. A daredevil rescue by her commanding officer reaps deadly consequences, forcing her to choose between the only life she’s ever known and the fate of the man she's duty-bound to protect.

Her whole life was a lie.

And that's the good news.

Shirking a life of privilege, Erelah Veradin dreamt of building spaceships and exploring the stars in the service of the Regime. When a monstrous truth about her true heritage is revealed, Erelah finds herself at the unwilling center of a scheming mastermind's bid for power.

Suit up. Time to join the fight.

If you love gritty, epic space opera like The Expanse or Firefly, this first title in the Allies and Enemies series launches you on the ride of a lifetime.

Start here. Murphy writes such well-founded stories; not too much of anything, but just enough of everything. Space opera, some military sci-fi, some speculative sci-fi. Murphy's depictions of human interactions are astute, occasionally poignant. Her plotting will surprise you, and her action scenes are engaging. The second book is even better and the third starts out with a loaded bang. Good Life. Thank you Amy Murphy.

A new take on old character themes, but a well thought out story and details. I would have liked to see more story in the escape on the ship.

About the author

Amy J. Murphy was not born a fantastic liar. This power only developed after she was bitten by a radioactive advertising exec during a college internship. Since that fateful day, she’d used this gift of falsehood to create science fiction novels featuring kickass heroines. Her on-going Allies and Enemies series about the exploits of renegade genetically-engineered soldier, Sela Tyron, has hit Amazon’s Best Seller lists in the space opera and galactic empire sub-genres. Amy is a two-time Dragon Award Finalist for Best Military Science Fiction novel and a member of SFWA.

When she’s not a guest on panels at science fiction conventions, Amy lives in Vermont with her husband and two very spoiled canines.
