This promised to be a different slant on the usual vamp stories, with the heroine having something held back, even from her. It seemed fine up until the point where the relationships between the three protagonists were supposed to deepen & mesh. Instead it fell flat. There's nothing worse than reading what should be an erotic scene only to find that whoever had written it seemed to be embarrassed enough by it to make it as perfunctory as possible. It seems to be a pointless exercise (a bit like theirs was!). Why on earth include it if it's apparent that neither "author" knows how to write an erotic scene. Stick to the violence, which*was* inventive & visceral !
