This is a book I wrote. Because I wrote it, I had to figure out what to put on the back cover to explain what it is. I tried to write a long, third-person summary that would imply how great the book is and also sound vaguely authoritative—like maybe someone who isn’t me wrote it—but I soon discovered that I’m not sneaky enough to pull it off convincingly. So I decided to just make a list of things that are in the book:

I recall the first time I read/saw a clip of her stuff. It was pointed out to me by my daughter. And I laughed til I had tears running down my cheeks. Ally Brash is so witty and I spent some time trying to find "hyperbole" after I returned t o Iowa. But was not successful so glad I found this book. I'll probably buy it eventually, bc she is addictive and so very funny!

Allie's work is amazing, but most of the book is stuff that's already on the blog. For the hefty price tag, I was expecting a way bigger chunk of new material. I feel a little bamboozled for having paid that much for something I could have, and have already, read for free. With all that said, I still loved it. Just the price point doesn't fit the small amount of new material.

Everyone goes through life and does dumb stuff. Allie was smart enough to remember all of those dumb things and write them down along with funny pictures. She sums up life's awkwardness to a T. Buy it, read it, laugh, die.
