I so much enjoy Alice Duncan's books. Her plots are very clever and the books have that unputdownable factor. Also, gratifyingly well written and full of interesting, carefully researched details of everyday life in those days.

Best in the series so far! I love the mystery, the touch of romance, and especially the characters.
