I Hired A Hitman: A Bad Boy Mafia Romance

Found it very hard to get into & sadly didn't finish as I found it was not technical enough for its genre. Would suit low violence, new to or irregular mafia readers. Nothing wrong with the book it was well written, consistent characters and a lighter mafia romance storyline. Not really recommend to hard-core or dark romance readers unless looking for a light change.

Suspenseful and romantic I can always count on Alexis Abbott to deliver a suspenseful, action-filled story with steamy passion and love with her protectively strong mafia men. I loved this story about Daisy Jensen and Alexei Nikolaev. Alexei thinks he’s found a safe haven in a small town in the Midwest, away from the big city and his past as an enforcer for the Bratva. He’s done with that life of violence and seeks only to live a simple life as a gentleman farmer. But when he meets Daisy, distraught and shaky, at the local bar, he knows all too well the kind of danger she is in. The town’s good ole boy, Dean Ashcroft, has bullied and stalked her for the last time if Alexei has his way. His protective instincts tell him Daisy is in harm’s way if the threat doesn’t go away. I Hired A Hitman is fast-paced, suspenseful and unputdownable. Alexei and Daisy are really great together, but things get a bit crazy when Alexei’s past catches up with him. Great story with supporting cast of small-town characters, steamy goodness, and swoon-worthy ending. Great job, Ms. Abbott. I received and voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

Alexis Abbott has a way of grabbing my attention from the start and keeps it till the end. In my opinion she knows how to write a suspenseful story. I loved Alexei he is protective, strong and caring. I love Daisy she is smart, lonely, struggling and feisty. Unfortunately she gets involved with the wrong man and can't get out. In my opinion Alexis Abbott did a good job of portraying the abused and I could feel her fear. This is an instant love story, normally this is not my favorite type of story, but I could not help loving it. I could not put it down, Alexis Abbott also surprised me with a twist. Who I thought was chasing Alexei was not chasing him. Usually I have the enemy figured out, in this case I did not. For me Alexis Abbott did not disappoint. I received an ARC edition for my honest and voluntary review. 1 like
