A dark and gripping read, The Other Girlfriend is a complex psychological thriller where a toxic relationship boarding on obsession is at its core and where manipulation is to used to prey on one’s vulnerabilities. The characters are well formed and a mix of likeable and unlikable. Each play their role well and evoke many different emotions. The secrets, lies and deceit keep things interesting and kept me flicking the pages well into the night. All up I found this to be a good read.

Alex Stone, originally an accountant from the West Midlands, is now a psychological suspense writer based in Dorset. This beautiful and dramatic coastline is the inspiration and setting for her novels. She was awarded the Katie Fforde Bursary in 2019.
