About the author

Dr. Ahmed H. Al-Salem FRCSI, FACS, FICS. is a Consultant Pediatric Surgeon and urologist at AlSadik Hospital, Saihat, Saudi Arabia. He was awarded a certificate as one of the best graduates of the Colleges of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for 1981/1982; in January 1985, he was awarded a prize by the Royal College of Surgeons of Ireland as the best candidate in the Primary FRCSI Examination, January 1985, Dammam, Saudi Arabia. In February 1987, he received a Fellowship Royal College of Surgeons of Ireland. He wrote seven books, published more than 280 publications, and presented 67 papers at various conferences. He is on the Editorial Boards of several journals and reviewed more than 140 papers for multiple journals.
