關於本電子書

A chance accident leads the Duke of Darlington to visit some cousins in their country house.  Horrified by what he finds, he rescues a young child and sends her to the safety of a convent in France.

Having all but forgotten about the child he saved, five years later, on the death of her father, the Duke is once again called upon to look after the girl he barely knows. Felica has transformed from the thin and tortured child she was, but despite her newly gained wealth and beauty, her painful childhood memories have left her battered and scared – the lovely Felica is afraid of men.

Pausing his personal glittering society life, the Duke embarks on a charge to help the lovely Felica overcome her deep-set fears. But as he tries to introduce her into society, one man is determined to have her and take her fortune for himself. When the Duke saves Felicia from an attempted abduction, how far will her wicked cousin go to get what he wants? Set in Paris, as the city is rebuilding after the revolution, this compelling tale shows just how transformative true love can be.
