She’s also an introvert who loves people, travel, fitness, and food, and is a true Pacific Northwesterner who lives for rain and outdoors and trees and mountains and ocean, and… she’s a total dork. At home, she’s lucky to have two creative and confident kids, a witty veteran husband she’s pretty dang fond of, and at the time of writing this, a snuggly puppy at her side. In addition to writing romance, Carrie is a nurse practitioner, and has been a geologist on Mars and on Earth, a banker, and has had many other odd jobs over the years. So, when Carrie gets a little nerdy, feminist, health-minded, or a little dreamy, you’ll know why.

Where is she now? Depends on the weather. Cozied up by the fire with a steaming mug of black coffee, or stretched out on the hammock with a frothy IPA in the shade of her forest. Either way, she’s working on the next great love story to conquer your TBR list.
