About this audiobook

On a world held in thrall to a powerful few, orbiting their planet in opulent space stations and illegal genetic labs, it's time to break out the Battle Armour and take this war into outer space.

“If you want to wrap that up in some fancy ideology, go ahead—I’m right behind you with a big gun, powered armour and a bad attitude.”

It’s Finn’s War. You think you’re ready? Think again.

After arriving at Togalaau Vai full of hope, Delta find a paradise already accessing their planetary SeedShip, and on first look, maximising its knowledge for the good of all. But as they scratch under the surface, they discover the true depths humankind will go to.

As the people of Vai struggle with the drudgery of their daily lives and the gradual destruction of their beautiful planet, the squad face the choice of creating a political vacuum or walking away and letting the people continue to suffer under the boot of the five powerful companies monopolising the planet for their own personal greed.

When Zuri is thrown into prison and forced to fight in the Tau Pit for the pleasure of the rich and powerful, Finn has to bide his time and wait for her release. After things go badly wrong, his inner demons are released, and the crew find themselves in Finn’s way as his fire rages across the planet.

With Noah and Yasuko developing space-certified Battle Armour, Finn takes his rampage into orbit where the powerful companies reside in their spectacular space stations. Faced with the dilemma of saving a whole people from the clutches of debt induced slavery, where the only way out is to sell your children for genetic research, or pursuing his own personal crusade, Finn calls upon the squad to climb into their Powered Armour and fight at his side.

As the team learn more about themselves and how far they are willing to go to help others, Yasuko, the ship's AI, continues her personal journey as she stands alongside her human crew. With the impact of their actions reverberating around Togalaau Vai, the companies make their stand, and the deaths pile up. In response, Yasuko delivers on her pledge as they left Bathsen and produces the equalising weapons she promised the crew.

But will they be enough as the squad faces the might of human genetic depravity and corruption? And will Smith finally get the chance to fight alongside his squad mates?

About the author

Nick Snape has been steeped in Science Fiction and Fantasy since his friends first dragged him from his schoolwork and stuck a book under his nose forty years ago. Lost to the world of imagination, he became a teacher by accident, passing on the joy of reading and writing to his pupils. Having retired after thirty years, he thought it was high time to practise what he preached. Nick's books feature everything from all out heart pounding, fast-paced action to thoughtful, character driven twists on the fantasy and sci-fi genres. Genetics to Artificial Intelligence, Artifice Dragons to Soul-Eating enemies, nothing is off the menu.
