A Regrettable Proposal

This review is for the audiobook of A Regrettable Proposal. I haven’t listened to an audiobook for quite a while so my review may be a little skewed. I struggled through the first part of the book. There are a lot of characters to learn, and I had a hard time distinguishing who is speaking. I have read other Jennie Goutet books, and enjoy them, so again, it may be I have to get used to an audiobook again. In the end, I enjoyed the story and the clean historical romance

This is an interesting read a bit hard to review. It is a good story but I think sometimes when listening to an audio version it can make a difference and not always a good one. This reminded me of a Jane Austin story in some ways but had some modern influences. I like the characters!

Recommend this book to anyone who likes sweet regency novels. I appreciated the mystery within the love story as well. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
