I've loved all of Wayne's books, and Nick Sullivan is a phenomenal narrator, but I feel as if the last few novels have left me believing the direction and drive for Jesse McDermott has faded. This novel especially left so many open-ended questions. Orion, Finn, Savannah, Tony, the treasure... what happened?? The cast has dwindled with less action, shorter novel lengths, and more fill material than the first 20 or so novels. I live in SC and have a home on Marathon so these novels captured my attention and I delved deep listening to the first 20 to catch up in less than 1 month. Hope to see Jesse and the original team get back together which is where I think, as listeners, we're heading...
