About this audiobook

Winnie-the-Pooh may be a bear of very little brain, but thanks to his friends Piglet, Eeyore and, of course, Christopher Robin, he’s never far from an adventure. In this story Pooh gets into a tight place, nearly catches a Woozle and heads off on an ‘expotition’ to the North Pole with the other animals. In this stunning audio edition of Winnie-the-Pooh, A.A. Milne’s world-famous story is once again brought to life. Heart-warming and funny, Milne’s masterpiece reflects the power of a child’s imagination like no other story before or since. This charming audio edition is the ideal gift book for children of 5 to 55.

About the author

Alan Alexander Milne was born in London in 1882. He began his writing career with humorous pieces for Punch magazine. It was in this publication, in 1923, that Winnie-the-Pooh made his first appearance in the poem Teddy Bear. Milne also wrote plays and by the time When We Were Very Young, his first book of poems for children, was published in 1924, he had already made his name as a dramatist and novelist.

An actor since the age of 14, Bernard Cribbins had become a major star on the London stage by his mid-20s, but it was another ten years before he became a national star by his success in film comedies and with a string of hit records. He appeared in several of the "Carry On" series, and also achieved a great degree of success doing voice-overs for cartoons and TV commercials.
