The book was extremely well written and as most want to believe a bygone and shunned thing. But looka arpund it still looks prevelent to me excemt today we jave rings of people that find each other and its not just affection of one but some teuely perverse thing, exploitation and abuse rampant. At times, it was quite awkward to be reading about such a topic. At least he tried to let her grow up a bit, out of affevtion, not wanting to mess her head up. Still not quite okay, but he had some restraint at least. The world has lost regular respectable people be they upper class, merchants(businessmen lmao) or just the hordes of children now grown with abother generation on the way that are born to money and just float through life doing nothing for humanity but warping and preverting values. Books are past, present, and future from the minds of people who have lived in many differing times. When a new age cpmes and customs change, well some people dont want or cannot conform. Loved the book!
