Early 11th Century CE. Chōḷa dancer Nakkan Maduravāsaki decides to undertake the royal assignment at Capital city Thanjāvūr big temple and starts her journey from Tiruvidaimarudur. She is afraid that her long buried past, which has been haunting her for a while, is waiting to unravel itself at Thanjāvūr. After much hesitation, she decides to go anyway and face fate whatever that may be. Thanjāvūr welcomes her with clasped hands. Efforts are underway to build the massive big temple.
