Helter Skelter was written by Manson's prosecuting attorney and it was untrue. The Manson "family" were involved with the MK Ultra program, which is why these senseless murders happened. So was Mark Chapman. I watched some Manson interviews and suddenly he didn't sound crazy anymore. Makes me wonder about the mass shootings in America and what is really behind them. Such a travesty of justice.

Although I must confess while listening to this book, I was working; finishing drywall. I might have missed some parts here and there. This was the first book I've purchased since I was in high school almost 10years ago. And I must say, this was a big eye opener on how our government may or may not be apart of ALL true crime instances like Charles Manson. I was turned on to the author Tom O'Neill from the podcast he was on with Joe Rogan, which he explains for almost three hours about his book "Chaos"

Saw Tom on JRE. Bought his book. Absolutely incredible. Ever since I saw Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, I've been interested in learning more exactly what Charles Manson was all about, and this satiated that interest.

Tom O'Neill is an award-winning investigative journalist and entertainment reporter whose work has appeared in national publications such as Us, Premiere, New York, the Village Voice, and Details. He graduated with a Bachelor in Fine Arts from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts and currently resides in Venice, CA.
