It's been a while since I've read something so thought-provoking and emotionally evocative. I watched the movie first and it was so interesting to see the minor and major differences. I highly recommend this beautiful story about memory, emotion, and what it means to be a part of a community.

this book has very deep realistic aspect of how society can become so color less and meaning less. if one has the time to sit down and diverge there self into this book. also allow their self to lower some of their walls and allow their perspective to be placed in a different view. this book can truly open your eyes and allow you to see things that we are blind to in our every day lives. enjoy this book, and take your time going through it. It just might change your life. God bless you š¤ā

(spoiler alert) The giver by Lois Lowry takes you into the world in which Jonas, the main character, resides. It's a moving story about living in a world without love, without colors, without a choice, Jonas lives without so much of what we take for granted. But only Jonas has seen what his world is missing. I highly recommend this to fans of Gregor the Overlander & The Hunger Games, by Suzanne Collins, Divergent by Veronica Roth and Harry Potter by JK Rowling.
