And even as these diverse forces struggle to avert total ruin, the mathematici, led by Anne and Hugh, strive to recreate the original spell which exiled the ancient Aoi, neither knowing nor caring that their magical workings could tear their world apart . . .

Kate Elliott is the author of more than twenty-five works of fantasy and science fiction, including a YA fantasy trilogy (begun with Court of Fives), the acclaimed science fiction novel Jaran, and a short fiction collection, The Very Best of Kate Elliott. Born in Oregon, she now lives in Hawaii.
A native of London, UK, Shiromi Arserio is a stage actor and AudioFile Earphones Award-winning audiobook narrator. She holds a BA in theater from Rose Bruford College of Theatre and Performance. In addition to narrating over 150 audiobooks, her voice can be heard in video games such as Nancy Drew: The Shattered Medallion.
